I have a 1996 Select Certified baseball mirror gold card that I had a question about. When I sent it in to be graded I received an 8.0 subgrade which had to be caused by bubbling beneath the protective film that came on the card. This dropped the overall grade of the card down, which otherwise would have been gem mint. My question is, if the protective film were to be removed and then the card resubmitted would it come back as altered or would I get a better grade because that film is made to be removed? thanks for your input.
