I have won few auctions where the seller has said the cards came from the Fleer Bankruptcy Sale (no number cards, proofs...etc). Did this occur and was it open to the public to buy?

Thanks - Dale
I know it happened in 2005 but don't know if it was open to the public or not.
Thanks for the reply, was just curious as to how authentic these items were.

Yes, thats why I refuse to by any Fleer "autograph" cards from 2003-2005. They sold cards that were not signed but stated "authentic signature" on them.
I own a 2004 Fleer Tradition Tom Brady autograph card with no signature.
It would be easy for someone to say that what they have was from the auction but is not as they can not prove it. Make them prove that it came from the sale.
Yes, sold in big lots i think.

This may help.

I have quite a few of them. Some I bought in lots and a few I've actually had traded to me. There are a lot more out there and all you have to do is check eBay and you will see many being sold. I don't buy any fleet if it doesn't have a scan of the back so I can tell if it's real.
Thanks for the site, very cool.

That's all I'm sure of, too.
