You need to find a colletor that looks for the "first one made" type of thing. A lot don't buy off on that but some do. Same thing goes with having the jersey number.

Anyway, still a sweet card. Congrats.

Thanks man. What are the odds to get a 1/549 ? Lol

I know what your saying, but same odds at getting his jersey number. He wears 25, correct? How bout 25/549. Some Ebay listers will also list a 1/1 if they have 549/549 because they claim it's the last one made. It really all depends on the buyer/trader wanting the card I guess. I'm a Pedroia collector and I'm guilty of chasing his jersey number before but not to often, lol.
Is always sweet and rare when you pull something like this , Im going to send it to Beckett to get it graded.

Same odds of pulling 2/549, 3/549, 111/549, or 500/549

I've know some collectors to stay away from the first or last card in the print run. The reason given to me was the cards are feed through a machine to get the serial number. The cards are placed in the machine one on top of the other in one big stack. The card on top and the card on bottom are exposed and can be potentially damaged easier. (just what I was told)

I like jersey numbers myself but only have a few. I have the Eric Hosmer 2011 Topps Chrome Atomic Refractor # 035/225 35 would be his jersey number Smile
btw i was a member of this forum a long time ago. I remember when BGS was brand new and PSA was the best and only thing going. I got away from card collecting for a while mostly when the bottom fell out on a lot of the 1990s-early 2000s stuff. I just kept picking up older stuff here and there. Im getting back into it slowly this time. If you like Hosmer i have over 30 BGS graded cards of his.
