Agreed. I have reasonable cause to believe that Danny Ainge bought up all of those Lin cards at outrageous prices...

Are they spending that much or just bidding that much?
I believe bidding, just to make the price higher and then they will try to sell their own card for higher profit.
If they're bidding aren't they committing to spending whatever amount that is? lol...
hey shaunbaus, why does your ebay username can't be found when i tried to click the ebay link in your profile?

Yeah, I saw this card too....my first thought was this and simply this: Spend 17 grand on a Lin card or spend 17 grand on a MJ card? Which card will hold its value?

Nothing against his play or anything, but man I got confused on that one...

Or spend 17 grand on a Larry Bird card?

Or any player that has a reputation longer than a couple weeks. He is a good player and I enjoy watching him and will not discount his abilities, but I just got confused by people who bought his cards. Did they honestly think if they spent 17 k or even 1k on a card that the value would stay there? Or the hype would continue? This once again is not a stab at Lin as a player, I just think people are foolish. For example:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MICHAEL-JORDAN-A...3371668916

OR

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MICHAEL-JORDAN-0...35b9f0328c

And these are to name just a few cards that regardless of being an MJ collector I would have bought with that kind of money.

Very good examples and I believe that anyone can spend their money on anything they want to buy but come on, think the best that you can when deciding to buy something so expensive and risking your money going down the drain as time unfolds the truth about your purchase.
