Sorry for the horrible play on words, but by my blood, I am allowed to do it

Anyways, let me set this up for y'all before I send in the scans. As you all know, I collect Levente Szuper because he was the only Hungarian to make it close to the NHL. Well, that may not be quite accurate. He may have the NHL cards, but there is one other player who has made it close to the big-time.

This player was drafted 32nd overall by the Dallas Stars in 2002. He has been in several of their training camps and played with their AHL Affiliated "Iowa Stars" from 2005-2008. Additionally, he has been a Hungarian National Team mainstay. His name is Janos Vas.

Long story short, I have been looking for something game-used of him for a while, but was not willing to shell out $300+ for a game-issued or training camp worn Dallas Stars jersey. Well, a reputable company that specializes in game-worn IIHF jerseys had an auction that ended on February 18. Well...you know what is coming from this:

A Janos Vas game used Hungarian national team jersey (likely from 2008-09)!

Comments are welcome, I have been wanting to add a team Hungary jersey for quite some time. Combine that with another of the "close to the NHL" Hungarians and it became really sweet...and for the price I paid, I am not complaining at all!

Thanks for the comment! It is proving to be a big addiction where I want to buy every GU item that I see.

Regardless, I cannot seem to stop hunting and searching for GU stuff, and now that Meigray is having their annual consignment offer sale, the jersey I have been eyeing is now possible to get at an even lower price than expected. University and gas are not kind on my wallet so I never have as much money as I want.

Nice pickup Bruce! I know the company who sells those jerseys. They have a bunch of "exotic" national teams. A couple of years ago I owned a Team Poland and a Team Bulgaria game worn jersey...but they´re all gone.

I got it from a company called World Hockey Jerseys who specialize in game-worn IIHF jerseys, as well as junior league stuff. They had an eBay auction of some of their stuff and I picked this up with minimal resistance from other bidders.
