I've read the words (Super Collector) before, but I'm not real sure if there is a specific definition? Like so many cards makes one Super or collecting just one player or type, just Rookie cards of a certain set?

I collect specifically Derrick Thomas. (For the most part). I'm between 650-660 different cards now between what I got and what is in the mail. Does that make me a Super Collector?
I feel a Super Collector picks a focus area and runs with it. I would say that many DT cards would qualifiy you Smile I'm trying to Super Collect RayRay and only have about 10% of what's out there listed by Beckett but I'm focusing and running with it Big Grin Hope this helps!!
Heres form another site

Quantity produced / % you must have (changed %'s)

Your player must have 200 cards produced of him to be eligible, as players with low production runs may be too easy to obtain, for previously entered members, they are Grand-fathered in.

200-250- 90%
251-500 - 75%
501-750 - 60%
751-1000 - 50%
1001-1500 - 45%
1501+ - 40%

Wow, I didn't realize how defined it could be.
depends on what you have in your collection. You do not need to have all of the % of his cards if you have a ton of nice 1/1's or highend cards

Yeah I got DECLINED haha...by their standards I am not one. It is very hard to get into the elite group. It takes years and lots of money ha

I know the other site has those guidelines set up, but I have to disagree. I think if you have a substantial % of the players cards. But some people also collect jerseys, magazines, photos, auto's, etc. that don't factor in. Or they collect a team, or players from a college team, or something similar to that.
