Visiting my dad this weekend and he gave me my Christmas present, wasn't much but its what I asked for. All I asked for was some magnetic holders and money for some cards. Well he got me the magnetics and threw in 2 packs of chrome and also gave me $20 to use on either a box or singles. We were at ShopKo today and they had some hobby boxes, 08 and 09 bowman chrome, 06 fleer, 08 update, a few others, and a box of signature stars for 60. I went with the signature stars- here's the break

I have one hit left in the box and I have 2 packs left I open one pack and see there is a hit in the pack so I set it aside and I open the other pack. So in my second to last pack I don't even think of there being a hit in it and as I'm going through the pack I pull an UD Black pride of nation auto/patch card of Neftali Feliz! So then I'm excited because I have an extra hit. Finally I finish opening the pack that contained what I thought was my last hit and I pull a Bryce Harper game-use jersey card!!!!! Needless to say I was really excited, especially because I only spent $40 on the box. I will have scans tomorrow when I get home and all will be available for trade/sale

Congrats - I've always liked 09 Signature Stars.

I think they guarantee 4 hits but I've gotten 5 a few times

Well I think its becoming more popular now that a lot of the USA guys are being drafted and helping the value of a lot of those cards. I'm not sure on the insertion rate for the Upper Deck Black autos in the set though. I was wondering if they were maybe 1/case?
