How does one go about compiling 10 copies of a card of which only 99 exist in the world. Just wondering.

Very possible but why take the risk in picking up 10 just to turn and around the sell them. I guess if they got a sweet deal in buying them it would make sense.

I know what you mean...there was never a time to buy those cheap, as far as I can tell, so it probably was a poor investment choice. But some true collectors like multiples. I remember seeing that JVR supercollector compiled 20+ JVR Ice RC /99s and I'm still trying to get my first one.
That's nuts. I can't imagine if I was given $5K to buy some cards with that this would be my first choice.

whats with the buy back set? what'd they do, buy the cards back and signed them?
maybe a collector of skinner and needed some cash? Or maybe collected the ice rookies, not really sure.
Thats alot of money and alot of time. Trying to recoup his money before the bottom falls out this year.

when the company has older cards, and have the player autos it (most of the time unless it is UD French and UD blasters last season) then it is put back into newer product for folks to pull it
