Full Version: Rookie Card?

Ive noticed a lot of players listed in the OPG can have many cards from their rookie year but only a few are listed with the RC tag.

For example, take the Brandon Dubinsky 2007-08 OPC Premier cards, the only ones listed as RC are the ones Serial Numbered to 299.
There are other variations of this card from the same year with premium patches gold /50, silver spectrum /35, gold spectrum /15, and black 1/1 that arent tagged as RC.

My question is this, can these be considered RC's or is it misleading to call them that?

Why doesnt Beckett tag them as RC if they are from the rookie season and are just SP/Serial # cards?

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks in advance.
Only the card in the base set is considered the true RC.
