Ever dream of owning a car that could take you out of rush hour traffic?

Well, Now you can, a company has actually received approval from the FAA to sell cars that fly, granted, it cost a pretty penny ($250,000 + ), but still kind of cool to drive down the road, and then fly, sort of like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang LOL

i'd buy one. how would they keep control of the airspace though? no flight plan? huge lawsuits waiting to happen there. granted it couldn't go really high but take my hometown for example. the skies are filled with private planes, float planes, landing and taking off jets all day every day. not a major airport but we have one of the busiest airspaces in the nation during the summer.

I wonder if Ohio would still enforce the safety laws.lol Everyone is required to pack a parachute.

Now if someone would just invent a tankhelihovercopter I would stop collecting everything and sell my home to fund it.

only problem is if you are stuck in traffic it's not going to do you a bit of good as you still gonna need considerable space to take off. Now if it had helicopter mode where you could lift straight up off the ground then maybe. But as someone already said then everyone would be trying to take off at the same time and crash into each other.

You ever see how many times Jetson almost gets creamed ? And that was just a cartoon. lol
