whether a card actually exists and did get printed?

the card is listed on the checklist/sell sheets for the 2010 topps update

its one of the silk cards #d/50

however when the product was brand new...and until present. I have never heard of anyone pulling this card on any forum, I've never seen one pop up on ebay, never seen one for sale on any secondary selling site (beckett marketplace, COMC, ebay, etc etc)

never found one for trade in old forum posts, and other than being listed in beckett and on the sell sheets....I can't confirm the card actually exists.

e-mail to topps of course wasn't responded to--- any ideas?

(its the jonny venters /50 silk card from 2010 topps update)

I don't see him listed in the checklist on the site I use unless I'm just missing him

sad but true....

A lot of people won't list a card if they won't get at least $2 plus shipping.

I am sure there are several out there....hopefully one will pop up on ebay soon for you.

Yeah, for some reason the silks don't sell for too much, even though they are really cool and /50

I wouldn't be surprised if you just put it out there on a few sites that someone will pop up with one or be able to get one. Being that they are numbered to 50, I'm sure there are some already sealed down in a PC somewhere and as someone else said, others probably just don't want to bother trying to sell it. I sold a silk from 2011 Topps series one though that went for around $12 (Jaime Garcia-Cardinals) so I would think Venters would do better than $2. Granted, I don't follow these silks in the least so take that for what it's worth.

I stumbled upon this 07 Turkey Red Silk around Christmas time last year. I think I got it for 12 with shipping. I'm not going after any others but this is a pretty cool PC item.

thanks folks, I suppose I will just end up making specific threads looking for it when the time comes... i figured even if one went on ebay it would fetch the person between 5-10 probably closer to 10 since ...it never pops up.

if anyone comes across one, and you can get it for under $15 snag it and I'll give you $15 for it ;P

it looks like it is gonna be the one of the ten left that is gonna give us the biggest problem other than the 08 red ref #/5 (sup mike!)

Set up a very broad search on ebay for it. Something as ridiculous as 2010 Venters. I would figure it would be hard to miss with that one.

i just simply search for "venters" on ebay.... an amount of times per day I probably don't want to admit to because it might seem a bit compulsive hahah

speaking of which.... *goes to check again* (been stalking for 2011 topps 1/1s since people are busting a lot of cases)
