as always, less is more with searching the opg

All four MLB licensed card manufacturers participated in this cross-company retail promotion to honor baseball's best sluggers. The cards were distributed at large retail shops like Wal-Mart in March and April of 1999. Each manufacturer selected four players of their choice. Cards 1-4 were issued by Fleer/SkyBox, 5-8 were issued by Upper Deck, cards 9-12 were issued by Topps and 13-16 issued by Pacific. Each card shares similar design elements to the base brand they're sourced from, but all have been given a bold unifying, gold foil strip stating "HOME RUN HEROES" on the right side of the card front.
