These six football "credit" cards each contained 10.00 of food and merchandise value at FSU concession stands specially equipped with scanners to read the value in the cards. The cards were sold for 15.00 each exclusively through the Florida State Athletic Department and could be purchased individually or as a six-card set. Charlie Ward was the first card issued (for the Seminoles' home opener against Clemson) with an additional card issued at each successive home game. Reportedly only 12,000 sets were produced. The cards were manufactured by CollectorCard of America in Minneapolis. The cards have rounded corners and measure 2 1/8" by 3 3/8". The fronts feature borderless color player cutouts superposed upon a background of sky and clouds. The player's name and position appear within a light blue rectangle at the bottom. The horizontal back has a borderless ghosted color photo of an FSU campus building as the background. At the top are shown the FSU opponent and date for the game at which the card was first available. The player's name, position, height, weight, class, hometown, and 1992 season highlights appear on the left side; his career statistics appear on the right. The black scanning stripe appears across the back near the bottom. The cards are unnumbered and checklisted below in alphabetical order. [Collapse]
