Super Bowl proof tickets are officially licensed by the NFL and are given to NFL sponsors and league VIPs as a memento. Super Bowl proof tickets are indistinguishable from the real thing and many times are sold as the genuine article. Generally, proof tickets are printed with a fictitious seating location. Our suggestion to readers is to check the seating diagram on the reverse of the ticket to make sure the seat location on the front actually exists. The original ticket for Super Bowl I was printed by Dillingham, while the reverse of the proof ticket lists Weldon, William of Little Rock, Ark. as the printer. The original Super Bowl II and III tickets were printed by Globe Ticket Company. Beginning with Super Bowl IV, both the originals and proofs were printed by Weldon, William & Lick. All known fictitious seating locations are listed in parentheses. [Collapse]
