Photographer J.D. McCarthy released a number of postcards throughout the 1950s to the mid-1980s with many issued over a number of years. This group was most likely released gradually between 1960-1980 as most feature newer photographs and follow the similar format of including the player's name within a name plate below the photo. Several players are featured on more than one card type with the differences noted below. Most also include a typical postcard style cardback, but some were printed blankbacked and many do contain back variations. It is thought that many of the postcards were reprinted from time to time, thus the reasoning behind what may seem like undervalued prices. [Collapse]
