A large number of postcards were issued over a period of years between 1910-1921 by Illinois University. Most of them feature campus buildings or scenes, while others feature football players or game action photography. We've cataloged just the postcards below that feature individual football players, team photos, coaches, and game action scenes that are identifiable. The cards feature a standard postcard style back with "U of I Student Life Series, by Strauch Photo Craft House" printed on the backs of some, but not all of the cards. The fronts are printed in sepia or black-and-white with the player's last name typically printed near the photo. Some also include extra data such as the year or "captain." The photographer's name "Lloyde, Aristo, or Strauch" is sometimes printed on the fronts as well. Any additions or information on the checklist below would be appreciated. [Collapse]
