The 275-card base set pictures veteran players on cards 1-175 where short prints are labeled as "SP" (inserted at the rate of one in four packs), rookies are pictured on cards 176-225, retired NBA legends are pictured on cards 226-250 and cards 251-260 are checklist cards. Also inserted were a series of advertisement-back variations. These are noted in the checklist with "Ad."
