Released in March 2004, SP Signature Edition boasts a 225-card set divided up as follows: Cards 1-100 are veteran base cards with player photos on the left and colored borders on the right to match the player's team; cards 101-142 are rookies sequentially numbered to 499 which are horizontally designed with player photos on the right and the player's team logo on the left; cards 143-222 are sequentially numbered to the player's jersey number and have a colored border along the bottom and gray background on the top; and cards 223-225 feature celebrities Spike Lee, Summer Sanders and Cheryl Miller. A Legendary Cut Chick Hearn one of one autograph was also inserted. SP Signature Edition was packaged in one-pack boxes of three cards each and carried a suggested retail price of $60.
