Released in August of 2001, this 36-card base set are standard size and set on white bordered cards. The cards feature color action shots of the top 2001 draft picks.. The HIT logo can be found in the upper left-hand corner of the card. On the back of the card there are statistics and in-depth insight on each featured player. SAGE HIT was packaged in 16-box cases with 24-packs per box and four cards per pack. Each pack contained one insert card.
