Produced by Roox Limited Corporation, this set presents the final sixteen Girls AA teams that participated in the Illinois High School Association March Madness Tournament. Just 1,000 sets of each team was produced at tournament time. Measuring the standard size, the borderless fronts feature a mix of color or black-and-white, action or posed player photos. A gold-shaded bar across the top carries the player's name with the words "March Madness '95" in a brighter, thin yellow bar below it. The horizontal backs carry the player's name and high school; in addition, her position, height, weight, and class are printed across a faded picture of a basketball. Each set came with a title card, which is not included in the listing below. The set is checklisted below according to school. Numbering errors and inconsistencies abound--some are out of sequence; others are duplicated; and some are omitted. For example, cards 15 and 16 are out of order and so are cards numbered 436, 437, 438, 439, and 445. Cards 162 and 168 are duplicated with different players and pictures on each card. The Jerseyville High School set, numbered 201-214, is duplicated with the second set having the same but better quality photos. Cards numbers 220 and 221 have the same photo, but two different players' names on them. Some cards have no photos because they were unavailable. This set includes the first card of Dominique Canty (102), a high school All-American who signed to play basketball at Univ. of Alabama. Her teammates, Danielle Scott (113; Coppin State) and Jacqui Jones (107; Alabama), have also signed to play college basketball. Finally, the Lincolnshire team, featuring Tamika and Tauja Catchings (245-46), was ranked #3 in the USA Today final national poll. [Collapse]
