The cards were distributed two per week with a fill up as part of a promotion that began November 28 and ran through March 1992. In addition, 125,000 vinyl photo albums were produced, and collectors who purchased one for 2.76 at participating UNOCAL filling stations received a redemption card that could be exchanged for a complete set. The fronts feature color action player photos framed in yellow on a blue card face. The upper left and lower right corners of the pictures are cut out. On various color panels, the backs carry a color head shot, biography, career summary, and complete statistics.
