The coins, which are actually quarters, have a colorized technique created by the Merrick Mint. These coins, were issued exclusively at Walgreen's stores and each local checklist is slightly different. These coins were available for $5.99 each from Walgreen but there were usually newspaper coupons to reduce the cost of each coin to $3.99. This issue ran for most of the month of April in 2005. In addition, a Gold-plated Babe Ruth coin was available for $5.99 plus 3 UPC Codes. The Ruth was available only as a mail-in item.
