This set was distributed exclusively in an attractive sealed All-Star Game box of which carried a suggested retail price of $29.99. Each box contained the 50 All-Star Game cards plus an additional 50 Strategy cards (all of which were reissued from the basic Strategy card set initially distributed in the basic 2002 MLB Showdown product earlier that year. Interestingly, the 50 Strategy cards are NOT a full run of cards 1-50. Rather, each box contains two separate stacks of 25 Strategy cards (one for each game player) of which include a skip-numbered selection of cards (including several duplicates) designed especially for game play. The box also contains 30 team tab checklists, a rulebook, an All-Star theme playmat and one 20-sided die. The fifty new All-Star cards feature a similar design that runs throughout all of the 2002 MLB Showdown brands - attractive full bleed images on cards shaped like playing cards (with rounded edges). The All-Star Game logo is prominently placed on the lower left front corner (along with the checklist number in a tiny black box) with various statistics to play the game on the lower right corner. The card backs simply feature the brand logo. [Collapse]
