Originally designed as a 400 card set, this set mushroomed to 501 when 101 variations of some of the basic cards were discovered upon release. These cards feature some of the players who have been on more than one team with cards from their time with that earlier team. Those variation cards were inserted at stated odds of one in four. In addition, cards numbered 301 through 400, which featured a mix of rookies and prospects, were issued at stated odds of one in two.
