These cards incorporate the leather sweet spots from actual baseballs, whereby the featured athlete signed the leather swatch. The stunning design of these cards made them one of the most popular autograph inserts of the modern era. One in every eighteen packs of Sweet Spot contained either a Game Base insert or one of these Signatures inserts. Please note the following players packed out as exchange cards with a redemption deadline of November 8th, 2001: Roger Clemens and Willie Mays. In addition, the following players packed out as 50% exchange cards and 50% actual signed cards: Albert Belle, Pat Burrell and Rafael Furcal. Though the cards lack actual serial-numbering, representatives at Upper Deck publicly announced specific print runs on several short-printed cards within this set.
