The 240-card base set is broken into tiers as follows: Base Veterans (1-200), and Prospects (201-240 - individually serial numbered by position). Breakdowns for the prospect cards are as follows: First Baseman (201-207) - 2,499 of each, Third Baseman (208-211) - 2,999 of each, Catcher (212) - 3,499 of each, Outfielders (213-224) - 1,999 of each, Pitchers (225-235) - 4,999 of each and Second Baseman/Shortstops (236-240) - 3,999 of each. Though not confirmed by the manufacturer, reports from dealers indicate that on average each 24-pack box of Focus contained three Prospect cards. An additional ten cards (241-250) featuring a selection of top prosects was distributed in late December, 2001 within Fleer Platinum RC packs. Each of these cards is serial numbered to 999 copies.
