This 200-card hobby only set was distributed in May, 2001 in five-card packs with a suggested retail price of $3.99 and features color photos of some of Baseball's finest players and hot rookies. The low series rookie cards are sequentially numbered to 1000 with the first 100 labeled "Turn of the Century." Cards 201-250 were issued as exchange coupons for unspecified rookies and prospects and randomly seeded into packs at a rate of 1:14. Specific players for each exchange card were announced on Donruss' website in late October, 2001 (and about 15 players were dropped and updated with new players about a month later). The deadline to redeem the coupons was originally 11/01/01 but it was extended to January 20th, 2002. Each coupon carried a cost of $5.99 to redeem. In April of 2002 representatives at Donruss-Playoff released explicit quantities for each of these exchange cards, of which ranged from as few as 377 to as many as 556. All of these cards are actually serial-numbered "XXX/1000" on back but were mailed out in non-sequential order, thus cards serial-numbered as high as 900/1000 etc are in existence but it doesn't mean that 900+ copies were distributed.
