Randomly inserted into packs at an approximate rate of one in 96, this 21-card insert features autographs of many of the Major Leagues elite players. Card backs are numbered using the players initials. The following players packed out as stickered exchange cards: Cal Ripken, Ivan Rodriguez, Jose Canseco, Ken Griffey Jr., Mo Vaughn and Tom Glavine. Please note that Jose Canseco and Tom Glavine both only signed partial quantities of their cards, thus half packed out as proper autos and the other half packed out as exchange cards. Due to problems with the players, UD was not able to get the athletes to sign their remaining cards and were forced to redeem the exchange cards with signed Mo Vaughn cards instead. The deadline to redeem exchange cards was July 5th, 2001. Representatives at Upper Deck have confirmed that the Derek Jeter card was produced in shorter supply than other cards from this set. This set also contains the first-ever certified autograph of Luis Gonzalez. [Collapse]
