1999 Topps Action Flats

These 12 items were issued by Topps to take advantage of the burgeoning "statue" market. They were issued in a custom box featuing detailed miniature replicas of leading players. These 12 items were issued by Topps to take advantage of the burgeoning "statue" market. They were issued in a custom box featuing detailed miniature replicas of leading players. Also included in the box is a card showing the photography which was duplicated in the staute. Since the items are unnumbered we have sequenced them alphabetically. This is the first series with a second series expected to be out later in 1999. All of these flats were released with a $2.99 SRP. A few of the flats were printed in lesser quantity. The Sosa and Griffey classic away jerseys were inserted at a ratio of one in 24, while the McGwire away uniform was inserted at a rate of one in 36. These were packed 16 flats and six boxes to a case. Each box had the configuration of 3 McGwires, 2 Griffey and Sosa and one each of the other nine players in the set. [Collapse]
