These sample cards were distributed to dealers and hobby media as a complete set in a three-card clear cello-wrapped pack several weeks prior to the national release of 1999 Flair Showcase. Company spokesperson Scott Rolen was the only player featured. Each card is parallel to it's accompanying basic issue card except for the text "PROMOTIONAL SAMPLE" running diagonally across the front and back.
