This three-card unperforated strip was distributed to dealers and hobby media a few months prior to the release of 1997 Flair Showcase. The strip contains parallel versions of three different Alex Rodriguez cards later issued in packs. The cards on this promotional strip are identical to the standard Rodriguez Flair Showcase cards except for the text "PROMOTIONAL SAMPLE" written diagonally across the front and back.
