These 12 standard-size promo cards feature borderless color player action shots on their fronts. The player's name and position appear in gold foil within a team color-coded stripe near the bottom. His team logo appears within a black rectangle framed by a team color near the bottom. The set name and year, stamped in gold foil, also appear in this rectangle. Most of the backs are horizontal, and feature another borderless color player action photo. A black rectangle framed by a team color appears on one side and carries the player's name, team, uniform number, and biography. The player's 1992 stats appear within ghosted stripes near the bottom. The disclaimer "Promotional Sample" is printed diagonally across both sides of the cards. The cards are numbered on the back. Reportedly each of Leaf/Donruss" hobby accounts (roughly 3,000) received one complete 11-card promo set (including one but not both Special Edition cards) with their 1994 Donruss order form. Moreover, 42 different retail broker accounts also received five to ten complete 11-card promo sets for their presentations. From this information, it appears that approximately 3,500 11-card promo sets were printed. Each hobby account received one of two Special Edition promos, either Barry Bonds or Frank Thomas.
