This five-card standard-size set features on its fronts borderless black-and-white vintage player photos that are trimmed in gold foil. "Spectrum" is printed diagonally in gold foil across the upper left corner. Cards are distinguishable from the "Gold Signature" series not only by the absence of embossed signatures but also by different vintage player photos. The set includes an official certificate of authenticity giving the set serial number and the production run figures (5,000). There was also a Gold Signature version (5,000 sets produced) of the cards which are similar to the regular 1993 Spectrum HOF set, except for the addition of embossed facsimile 24-karat gold signatures across their fronts. The regular cards may also be distinguished from the "Gold Signature" series by different vintage player photos. Each of the Signature cards comes with its own 1/2" Lucite card holder and carries a serial number out of a 5,000-card production run. The Gold Signature cards are valued at two to three times the prices listed below. The Grover Alexander card was also issued as a promo, with the disclaimer "For Promotional Use Only" in an oval on the back. [Collapse]
