This 36-card set measures 2 3/8" by 2 7/8" and was issued by The Chicle Fantasy Company. These cards did not exist in 1936, but might have, had the National Chicle Co. of Cambridge, Mass. not been on the verge of bankruptcy. Only 108 of a proposed 240 cards were issued from 1934-36. These 36 cards are an idealized version of what might have been. The colorful fronts feature art by D'August Roth Martin and are edged in white. The back carries a descriptive summary of the player's career with biography below. The cards are arranged alphabetically and are numbered on their backs, beginning with number 121.
