The 1991 BBM Japan set contains 400 cards measuring approximately 2 3/8" by 3 5/16". The bilingual cards have English on the fronts and Japanese on the backs and were issued in a box bearing a unique serial number. The 1991 BBM Japan set contains 400 cards measuring approximately 2 3/8" by 3 5/16". The bilingual cards have English on the fronts and Japanese on the backs and were issued in a box bearing a unique serial number. The glossy color player photos on the white card faces are enframed by either a purple or burnt orange border stripe. On a salmon and white background, the backs have player's name, biography, statistics and a "Did you Know" trivia feature. Special subsets featured in the set are League Leaders (201-222) and Nostalgic Stars (223-232). The cards are numbered on the back and checklisted below accordingly. A very early Hideo Nomo card is in this set. That card, as well as 1991 BBM cards of Shitegoshi Hasegawa and Hidecki Irabu were later inserted into 1998 Bowman packs. [Collapse]
