1984 Cubs Seven-Up

This 28-card set was sponsored by 7-Up. The cards are in full color and measure approximately 2 1/4" by 3 1/2". The card backs are printed in black on white card stock. This 28-card set was sponsored by 7-Up. The cards are in full color and measure approximately 2 1/4" by 3 1/2". The card backs are printed in black on white card stock. This set is tougher to find than the other similar Cubs sets since the Cubs were more successful (on the field) in 1984 winning their division, that is, virtually all of the cards printed were distributed during the "Baseball Card Day" promotion (August 12th) which was much better attended that year. There actually were two additional cards produced (in limited quantities) later which some collectors consider part of this set; these late issue cards show four Cubs rookies on each card. [Collapse]
