This 30-card set was produced by Maple Crispette Co. of Montreal around 1923. The cards are black and white and measure approximately 1 3/8" by 2 1/4". The card backs explain a send-in offer for a ball, bat or glove in return for 30 baseball (or hockey) cards collected. The cards are numbered on the front. The Stengel card was undoubtedly the short-printed card in the set that made the send-in offer a very difficult task to fulfill.
