This 376-card set is called a true Cabinet card set meaning a player photograph is affixed to a cardboard backing. The set was produced by the Pinkerton Tobacco Company and could be obtained by sending in a certain number of coupons from Pinkerton tobacco products. Cards numbered 101-875 are Major League player cards while cards numbered 901-1115 are Minor League players. This is the original checklist as Pinkerton provided in 1911. No individual cards are priced due to scarcity and it is possible that not all exist. A Joe Jackson in ex/mt condition sold for more than $180,000 in an Mile High Auction while a Jackson in vg/ex sold for more than $40,000 in an Mastro Auction in 2006. A recently discovered card number 1510, indicates that the checklist may be incomplete. Any pricing information or checklist verification is appreciated. [Collapse]
