The cards in this 121-card set measure approximately 2" by 2 1/2". The Ramly baseball series, designated T204 in the catalog, contains unnumbered cards. This set is one of the most distinguished ever produced, containing ornate gold borders around a black and white portrait of each player. There are spelling errors, and two distinct backs, "Ramly" and "TTT", are known. There is a premium of up to 25 percent for the "TTT" back. Much of the obverse card detail is actually embossed. The players have been alphabetized and numbered for reference in the checklist below. A few players (so far only six are confirmed, and a seventh is rumored) are known with square frames with blank backs. It is possible that these are proofs. The confirmed square players are John Anderson, Frank Bancroft, Kitty Bransfield, Jesse Burkett, Bill Dineen and Pat Moran. Of note, pricing for raw cards is provided in VgEx condition due to the fact that most cards from this set are found in off-grade shape. [Collapse]
