YUGI
MUTOU

Yugi Mutou is a spikey-haired kid who attends Domino High School. He
likes all kinds of board games and his grandfather, Sugoroku Mutou, owns
a game shop. Yugi knows how to play many of the games in his grandpa’s
store. In persona, Yugi is shy and lacks confidence to communicate with
others. This makes him a frequent target to a countless number of bullies,
gangsters, thieves, and other bad guys. His grandfather gave him a long
lost Egyptian puzzle knowing that the magic within the puzzle may help
Yugi out. This 3-D pyramid-shaped puzzle called “The Millennium Puzzle”
is an ancient artifact from Egypt that gives special powers to whomever
wears it. This puzzle is a part of the “Seven Sennen Sets”. After Yugi
completes it, his life changes. Although Yugi is weak in his normal stage,
he does have many friends that stand by his side and protect him. Tea
Gardner, Tristan Taylor, Mai Valentine, and Ryou Bakura are the names
of some his friends and classmates. Joey Wheeler, who is possibly Yugi’s
best friend, always fights for Yugi.
YAMI YUGI a.k.a. YU-GI-OH

The Millennium Puzzle releases the powers of the Egyptian game king,
YU-GI-OH! Whenever Yu-Gi-Oh takes control of Yugi’s body, he transforms
into a stronger and taller guy. Yu-Gi-Oh always uses his opponent’s cheating
tricks and pays it back to them.

JOEY WHEELER

| Joey is the coolest character next to Yami Yugi. He’s kind
of a gangster-type of a guy. He believes fighting is always the first solution
for all sorts of problems. However, he does care a lot about his friends.
Although he always acts like a bad guy, he’s actually a good guy. At the
beginning of the story, he’s one of the many bullies who spends his free
time picking on Yugi. That quickly changed once Yugi said that he considers
him a friend. Joey often hangs out with another guy named Tristan. Joey
is a great duelist, but he’s never won any battles with Yugi or Seto Kaiba.
Nevertheless, he tries to prove himself as a worthy duelist to Yu-Gi-Oh.

SETO KAIBA

| Seto Kaiba is a rich, cold-hearted and cruel person who has
a passion for magic and wizards. His passion made him create the ultimate
gaming place called “Kaiba Land.” Since his parents died, he and his brother
Mokuba were sent to an orphanage. Seto promised Mokuba that he would take
care of him. Seto challenged the president of the Kaiba Corporation to a
game of chess when he came to the orphanage to adopt. As a reward for the
game, Seto and Mokuba became his adopted sons. Seto’s entire life is obsessed
with finding one special card called the Blue Eyes White Dragon. This is
one of the strongest monster cards in the game. When Seto finds out that
Yugi’s grandpa has a BEWD card, he offers his entire collection in exchange
for it. Grandpa refuses and Seto tries to take the card from Yugi. Later
on, Yu-Gi-Oh beats Kaiba at a game and takes back the card for Yugi. Seto
can’t live with the fact that Yugi beat him, so his ultimate goal in life
is to beat Yugi using whatever means necessary.

TéA GARDNER

| Among all of Yugi’s friends, Téa is the voice of reason. A
childhood friend of Yugi’s, Téa is also the biggest cheerleader in the group.
She’s always encouraging everyone to believe in him or herself and to never
give up. Téa loves her friends very much and is willing to help them in
any way possible |

TRISTAN TAYLOR

| Tristan met Yugi at the same time as his long time pal, Joey.
Even though these two friends bicker with each other once in awhile, they
always cover each other’s backs. Sometimes he’s quick to panic, but when
it comes down to it, Tristan is willing to do whatever it takes to support
and cheer on his friends. |

MOKUBA KAIBA

| Mokuba sees no evil in his brother, Seto. These brothers are
the only friends and family each other has, since their parents died at an
early age. Instead, Mokuba idolizes Seto and sees only his good side. Mokuba
is so devoted to his big brother, that he’s pledged to avenge anyone who
crosses him.

GRANDPA

Favorite Card: Blue Eyes White Dragon

| A former world traveler, Yugi’s grandfather now owns a neighborhood gaming shop. Grandpa knows everything there is to know about games, but is especially well versed in the ways of Duel Monsters. Grandpa teaches Yugi about believing in the “heart of the cards.”
