Began collecting in 1988 as an A's fan at the age of 6. Jumped on the Jose Canseco bandwagon. In 89 switched sides and became a HUGE Will Clark fan. My first real PC. I would scour card shops and shows searching for his cards I didn't have. Was crushed when he left the Giants for Texas. By family influence in NE Ohio became enamored by several promising young players in the Indians organization. Went to an Indians game at "the Jake" and was lucky enough to be selected to be one of "Kenny's Kids" for Kenny Lofton. Followed the Indians through the mid 90's. Fell away from baseball in late 90's and into 2000's as I joined USMC. Had little time or ability to keep up with favorite teams. In 2007 finally settled into a career and following baseball. Was working in Los Angeles and since I hate both the Dodgers and Angels was forced to buy the baseball package to follow my 3 teams. I became curious about cards again early 2009 and checked out a local card shop. Over time I became great friends with the owner (an old-school collector who once was a MLB prospect in the 60's) who taught me the value and joy of set building. Along with set collecting, I'm a sucker for parallels/refractors/GU/autos of my three teams. I HATE the Yankees and Dodgers while I generally dislike most teams from the east coast as I consider MLB and media to be bias to east coast teams. I love players who are passionate about the game, all out hustle and sacrifice for the team while I hate when players become cocky and self-centered.
Trading: I prefer to trade inserts for inserts, autos for autos, prospects for prospects, commons for commons, etc. There are a few exceptions. I also have a moderate pc collection of stars (I'm beginning to list in my ORG) of which I will list for trade for things I need. Just let me know what you're looking for.
