After Winnipeg got its beloved Jets back, it was only a matter of time before the hobby saw a commemorative card set.

Rejoicing Jets fans will just have to wait until Nov. 8, when Upper Deck‘s 15-card tribute takes flight as a special gift with purchases made at UD Certified Diamond Dealers in Manitoba.  According to the company’s announcement, collectors who buy a “select amount of 2011-12 Upper Deck NHL packs” will receive a three-card pack, comprised of current Winnipeg wonders seen after the  jump.

For those looking to land the likes of Dustin Byfuglien, Evander Kane and Blake Wheeler in commemorative form, the minimum pack-purchase requirement can be satisfied with 2011-12 Upper Deck Series One — which should arrive in the same shipment as the special set.

Below is a list of participating dealers throughout Manitoba … and an all-important visual preview, of course.

Saying Winnipeg got their Jets back is like saying Baltimore got its beloved football team back…LOL! Winnipeg has a haphazard organization that was formerly run by the worst ownership in North American professional sports…Trust me, I know, as I am an Atlanta resident since 1993. Hopefully the new ownership of them will actually invest quality time, people, and resources into them unlike the Atlanta Spirit Group (which is arguably the all-time oxymoron of a name b/c they had anything but…)…Although it looks like on ice the move hasnt been a boom as they have the 2nd most losses in the entire Eastern Conference…at least some things remain consistent!!

@Jon, I am sorry to say but I have to disagree with your “worst ownership in North American professional sports” comment. By far, the Dallas Stars has the worst ownership. Tom Hicks is by far the WORLD’s worst owner. He has destroyed the Stars, the Rangers, and 2 international soccer teams, including Liverpool. If you don’t believe me, look him up on Wiki.

How can the Winnipeg management be bad? They made the AHL finals and have staff from Chicago when they won the cup?

Wait until the end of the season to form an opinion.

@Alvin…one thing you are forgetting is the Atl Spirit Group also has made a mockery of the Atl Hawks…In fact, the new announced owner of the Hawks, is running into a “major snag” in getting ownership because he doesnt have enough liquid assests…So the Spirit can not only say they mad Joe “No Show in the Playoffs” Johnson the highest paid player in the NBA, but couldnt even pick a new owner that had enough financial resources to buy the team!
