“Who’s on first?” might be an appropriate question for tonight’s season-opener with the Houston Astros involved.

Or perhaps it’s I Don’t Know playing a few spots for the new-look American League squad.

But what we do know is that “Who’s on First?” is 75 years old this season and — believe it or not — there are more than a few baseball cards for “Who,” but not What, I Don’t Know, Today, Tomorrow or even Why.

Maybe for the right fielder, though.

According to the Beckett.com database, there are a dozen cards showing Bud Abbott and Lou Costello together. Separately, Abbott appears on a total of 18 cards — 11 of them with a piece of memorabilia embedded into the card and three of them autographed (all cuts). Meanwhile,  Costello trumps him with 23 total — four autos and 16 mem.)

Donruss/Playoff’s product lines, which are now under the Panini America umbrella, are the leader with more than 20 cards of the duo mostly found in its Americana lines starting in 2008. Memorabilia cards with swatches of clothing from the members of the comedy duo can be had for $15 or so with dual mem cards pushing as high as $100. Their autographed cards are not priced due to scarcity.

And for those of you who don’t know the routine …

Excellent article! I grew up watching the Abbott and Costello movies and just love these comic legends! We don’t see the likes of these two anymore. Thanks!
