TRISTAR will Cross the Line with new TNA Wrestling set

November continues be a good month for wrestling collectors.

While Topps’ WWE Heritage IV has just hit stores, fans won’t have to wait long for another wrestling card fix as TRISTAR‘s second Total Nonstop Action Wrestling card set — Cross the Line — hits stores later this month.

The 100-card base set includes all the TNA stars and several subsets (like the past set, TNA iMPACT!) but adds several new subsets including TNA Debuts (Rookie Cards per se), Drawn to TNA (artwork by the wrestlers as well as a wrestling artist) and The Write Stuff, where wrestling media select their notable moments and stars in TNA history.  (More on that in a later blog entry.)

But, like any set in any sport, it’s really about the autographs and memorabilia cards — and TRISTAR’s set has Topps’ set in a figure-four leglock.

Each box of Cross the Line includes two autographed cards and one memorabilia card per hobby box, while Heritage includes just one auto or Relic, down from two in the last series. (Yes, Heritage has some bigger names and WWE is more popular, but the TNA set is a comprehensive release.)

More than 60 TNA wrestlers signed for the set and there will be several dual, triple and quad autograph cards. Among them will be TNA’s newest legend Mick Foley.

TRISTAR upped the ante on its memorabilia cards in the set, including some unusual items and higher-end memorabilia cards. How ’bout a Sting autographed baseball bat card? It’s in there.

Also new to the set will be High iMPACT! Championship cards — redemptions good for memorabilia and other experiences. What’s up for grabs? Sting signed baseball bats, other signed memorabilia, TNA tickets as well as backstage access and even a phone call from a TNA star.
