The legendary names are in there, but this time it’s a trading card set with some edge.

A razor’s edge to some degree — you know, what some wrestlers use to be busted open — as TRISTAR‘s latest TNA Wrestling set is called TNA Xtreme and it arrives late this month with a heavy dose of the extreme-style wrestlers the company has utilized lately.

Oh, and it will apparently include the remnants of some scissors’ edges, too, as there will be Lovely Locks Hair Cards that will be signed by one of four TNA Knockouts — the company’s female competitors — and include a strand of their actual hair embedded into the card.

Packing two autographed cards, one memorabilia card and four other inserts/short-prints per box, the product will focus on a group of former ECW stars as well as some TNA newcomers alongside the legendary names like Hulk Hogan and “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Among the extremists are Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Raven, Rhyno and more — an EV 2.0 faction member autograph is guaranteed in every box — while the set also marks the the TNA debuts for Mickie James, Al Snow (aka Lima, Ohio’s finest), Cookie, Robbie E and even a card for former Wonder Years star Jason Hervey. (Hervey is a long-time television production partner with TNA’s Eric Bischoff, aka Cody, Wyo.’s finest).

(For the geography buffs, yours truly is from Lima, Ohio, and grew up in Cody, Wyo. … small world, eh?)

The base set will consist of 110 cards — 10 of those being short-printed art cards featuring the creations of TNA world champion Jeff Hardy. Several original pieces of his artwork will be made available via redemptions found in the product, which will be limited to just 100 serial-numbered 24-box cases.

Also among the notable inclusions is a thick checklist of multiple-autograph cards, including one with the autographs of Hogan, Flair, Hardy, Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle and Sting, while Sting also will give up some of his face paint for four rare cards with pieces of the latex peeled from his face and affixed to a card.

The four Knockouts who contributed their locks for collectors are Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, SoCal Val and Christy Hemme. There will be two versions of each card — one pink 1/1 card and a turquoise card limited to just three copies.
