Topps adds another variable to wall art … autographs
By Chris Olds | Beckett Baseball Editor
Topps‘ wall art lines of the last two years have given collectors an immediate look at happenings on the field and new more-impressive views with oversized pieces that bring its brand to collectors’ walls.
Now, the company is adding one more enticing element into the mix.
Autographs.
A dozen new pieces with six new signers are now available on wall art found only on Topps.com with a selection of rookies and legends all found on 10-by-14 pieces in the style of past Bowman and Museum Collection cards.
Twins rookies Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano each have a 1/1 print and a standard version limited to just 10 serial-numbered copies. Hall of Famers Pedro Martinez, Nolan Ryan, Frank Thomas and Cal Ripken Jr. are also in the collection with 1/1 pieces and standard pieces that are also limited to only 10 copies.
Prices vary by player but begin at $250. Ryan and Ripken 1/1 pieces are $1,500.
