One of the best-kept secrets in the hobby, the 2017 Rittenhouse WNBA factory set features the league’s top stars and rookies – including the cardboard debut of first overall pick Kelsey Plum of the San Antonio Stars.
Each 2017 Rittenhouse WNBA factory set contains 110 cards, with a minimum seven players from each member club expected to be on the checklist. On top of that, there will be two autographed cards inside to provide additional value.
The autograph checklist is very small at three different players, but it is loaded with star power. Plum is the big draw here, and she will be featured on three variations (street clothes, in uniform, and game action). There is one Plum autograph in each factory set.
The same variations will also exist for active WNBA stars Sue Bird of the Seattle Storm and Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx. Collectors will get one of these two players as their second autograph. As an added bonus, some cards of Bird and Moore will feature inscriptions and will be very limited.
There will be just 500 2017 Rittenhouse WNBA sets produced. Savvy collectors and dealers know that WNBA factory sets traditionally provide strong break-up value as team and player collectors will be looking for individual cards.
