Panini America is bringing back its Black Friday Promotion.

The day after Thanksgiving is arguably the biggest shopping day of the year with people filling up on turkey and then heading out to the mall.

But Panini wants collectors to go to local card shops as well.

The Black Friday wrapper redemption packs will be given away based on the Panini product a customer buys. The company will be vigilant on how these cards will be distributed and if it sees any unauthorized use (such as selling packs on eBay), the LCS will forfeit their Panini Authorized status.

No word on what is going to be inside the Black Friday packs, but Panini is sure to make that announcement soon.

UPDATE: The following products must be purchased new for the LCS to be included in the promotion. The card shops are allowed to use the Black Friday packs to promote any Panini products.

Here are the products included in the Black Friday promotion.

Football: 2012 Rookies & Stars, 2012 Momentum, 2012 Prominence.
Basketball: 2012-13 Prestige, 2012-13 Gold Standard, 2011-12 Past & Present, 2012-13 NBA Hoops, 2011-12 Limited.
Hockey: 2012-13 Score

Not thrilled about these products included in the promotion. Why just these products? Seems odd that it would not be for any Panini product purchased. And why is baseball being left off the list of eligible products? I’m sure the hits will be awesome though.

Nick C – I updated the post. The products included are ones the LCS will have to purchase to get new products.

It will probably be up to the local shops to dictate how the packs will be distributed. But we’ll wait to get more information from Panini.

Why no baseball? It would require Panini to actually release a baseball product. Ok, just kidding. I actually love Panini’s wrapper redeption program. I spent way too much money being those wrapper redeption cards from the national.

I believe Panini will likely also have some kind of online component, where certain products ordered from the panini store earn packs as well. They had a limited time promotion like that for the NATIONAL packs this summer as well.

It looks like another great promotion from panini unfortunately as I live in Canada i won’t be elligible for all those goodies. Unless the good people at Panine sees fit to give us some opportunity Vegas, Carvin anybody.

Great to see 0 tolerance of selling these packs on ebay. If other companies i wont name here (TOPPS) would only have the back bone to apply this rule to certain promos. Hats off to Panini!
