Case breakers are getting their own pavilion at the National Sports Collectors Convention this summer, NSCC officials recently announced.
The 35th National Sports Collectors Convention will be held July 30-Aug. 3 at the I-X Center in Cleveland.
“Plans have been underway for two years to bring this exciting new hobby venue to the National floor,” said Mike Berkus, Executive Director of the National in a release. “Ever since we founded the National in 1980, it has been the goal of ours to constantly add more and more excitement to our National event. Over the years we have successfully added many wonderful and exciting components to the show, exclusive pavilions that house autographs, corporate sponsors, Olympics, and attendee benefits like the VIP programs and Family day, and now we are proud to present the very first Case Break Pavilion”
The pavilion is open to anyone who plans on breaking cases as long as they purchase exhibit space. However, case breaking and only case breaking is allowed in the area. It will be open during all show hours.
According to the NSCC, Those who wish to be part of the pavilion may select from a limited number of 10-by-10-foot exhibitor areas in the Pavilion, complete with eight-and six-foot draped tables, two chairs, carpeting, Wi-Fi (suitable for streaming), and electricity. Exhibitors may purchase multiple spaces, pricing is between $1,900 and $2,950, for the entire week.
For the first time, the National will have a main stage on the show floor. This stage will be utilized for multiple purposes. Anyone can reserve the stage for an hour for free (for non-case breaking activities). Case breakers will be charged $300 an hour. The stage will also have a video and audio support system.
