Mickey Moniak, First Pick in 2016 MLB Draft, Signs Exclusive Autograph Deal with Topps

If you’re looking for autographs of Mickey Moniak, the first overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft, you’ve basically got two options. The first is to put on a smile big smile and show your manners at the ballpark. Option two? Topps baseball cards and memorabilia.
The Phillies prospect has signed an exclusive autograph deal with Topps.
Unlike a lot of the exclusive deals Topps announces, this one goes beyond just memorabilia. Like last year’s signing of Carlos Correa, it covers cards as well. That means that unless they were signed beforehand, you’re not going to find any Mickey Moniak autographs in prospect-themed sets from Panini or Leaf.
Moniak has signed in the past with Panini for USA Baseball products.
The first Philadelphia Phillies Mickey Moniak autograph cards will be found in 2016 Bowman Draft Baseball, which is slated to release in early December.
“He is a fantastic young player that we look forward to including in Topps and Bowman products for years to come,” said David Leiner, VP and General Manager of North American Sports & Entertainment for Topps via a press release.
If you’re looking for the first Topps Mickey Moniak card, it’s already out. He was included on a 2016 Topps Now card to commemorate the signing of his first pro contract in June.
Besides cards, Topps Authentics, the company’s memorabilia arm, will have signed items like photos, baseballs and over-sized cards available in the weeks ahead.
